Domestic Skills can be raised with quests, and the officer you serve under will grant you a bonus of +10 in one of these skills
Domestic skill have 2 different effect's. Total domestic contribution points have certain effect's to everyone in the faction, while domestic skill level's affect only you.

Effect of personal domestic skill level:

Commerce: Reduces the price of items from the merchant by a small percentage.
Distribution: Increases your chances to receive a random upgrade to an item, weapon or gear found from battle.
Military: Reduces the price of a weapon at the blacksmith, as well as simple modification, activation (unlocking), and tempering fees.
Technology: Increases the success rate of all kinds of crafting. Also reduces prices and activation fee from the tailor.
Peace: Increases the salary that you receive from your general every 6 months (7.5 days in real life).

Effect of total domestic skill point:

Commerce: Affects the availability of items at merchant.
Distribution: Affects the maximum level of items you can acquire from battle and reduce broker fee.
Military: Affects the maximum level of weapon you can buy from the blacksmith.
Technology: Affects the maximum level of gear you can buy from the tailor.
Peace: Increases the population of the kingdom.
